Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking with RET Pickups. By completing a booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a booking.

2. Acceptance of terms

By accessing retpickups.com, initiating a booking via WhatsApp or email, or using any of our transportation services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or have the legal capacity to enter into a contract
  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
  • You accept these terms on behalf of yourself and all passengers in your group
  • You consent to the processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy

3. Description of services

RET Pickups provides private ground transportation services from Cancún International Airport (CUN) to hotels, resorts, and destinations throughout the Riviera Maya, and return transfers from those destinations to the airport.

Services included in all transfers

  • Professional, licensed driver
  • Private vehicle assigned according to group size
  • Air conditioning
  • Bottled water
  • Flight monitoring and automatic pickup time adjustment
  • Luggage assistance (standard suitcases)
  • Government taxes
  • Fuel costs
  • One short stop of up to 10 minutes (ATM, pharmacy, convenience store)

Optional services (upon request at booking)

  • Cold beverages (beer or sodas) — subject to availability, no additional charge
  • Child safety seats (infant, toddler, booster) — subject to availability, no additional charge

Additional services available via WhatsApp

  • Premium vehicle upgrades (luxury SUV, executive van, premium Sprinter)
  • Transportation to parks and attractions (Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Tulum, Chichén Itzá, Cenotes, Isla Mujeres)
  • Custom tours and transportation packages

What is NOT included

  • Tips for the driver (optional, appreciated if service was excellent)
  • Extended stops exceeding 10 minutes ($10 USD additional, paid directly to the driver in cash)
  • Tolls not included in standard routes (if applicable, will be communicated at booking)

4. Booking process

During Phase 1 of our operations, bookings are processed manually by our team via WhatsApp. The booking process is as follows:

  1. Price calculation: Use our online price calculator at retpickups.com to obtain your exact fare
  2. Contact via WhatsApp: Message our team at +52 998 154 3416 with your desired transfer details
  3. Data collection: Our team will request: full name, email, flight number, arrival date and time, destination, number of passengers, and any special requests
  4. Payment link: Our team will send you a secure payment link via Stripe
  5. Confirmation: Upon payment, our team confirms your booking via WhatsApp
  6. Pre-arrival information: 48 hours before your arrival, you will receive your driver's name, vehicle plate number, direct WhatsApp contact, and exact meeting point instructions

A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received and confirmed by our team. Verbal or written expressions of intent do not constitute a confirmed booking.

5. Pricing and payment

Pricing structure

All prices are fixed in US Dollars (USD) and depend exclusively on the destination zone and number of passengers. Prices are calculated using our online calculator and are guaranteed at the time of booking confirmation.

No additional charges will be applied for:

Time of day, day of week, number of bags (standard luggage), flight monitoring, or waiting time due to flight delays beyond the passenger's control.

Payment options

  • Option 1 — Deposit: Pay a non-refundable deposit of $20 USD online to secure your booking. The remaining balance is paid in cash (USD or MXN — exact change appreciated) directly to the driver upon completion of the transfer.
  • Option 2 — Full payment (recommended): Pay the full amount online via Stripe and save 10%. No cash required. A payment confirmation/receipt is issued automatically by Stripe.

Payment processing

All online payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. RET Pickups does not store, process, or have access to your payment card information. Stripe's processing is governed by their own Privacy Policy.

Payment receipt

A Stripe payment receipt is issued automatically after payment. This receipt is a valid proof of payment for expense reimbursement purposes in the United States and Canada. If you require a formal Mexican fiscal invoice (factura with RFC), please request this from our team at the time of booking.

6. Discounts and promotions

The following discounts are available and may be combined:

Discounts cannot be applied retroactively after a booking is confirmed. Prices may change during high-demand periods (December–April, Easter week, Spring Break, summer). Your booked price is locked at confirmation and will not change.

7. Cancellation and refund policy

We understand that travel plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both parties. For the complete, detailed cancellation policy, please see our Cancellation Policy.

Summary — Full payment bookings

  • 24+ hours before scheduled pickup: Full refund minus $20 USD non-refundable booking fee
  • Less than 24 hours before pickup: 50% refund
  • No-show (no notification): No refund

Summary — $20 deposit bookings

  • 24+ hours before pickup: Deposit is forfeited; no additional charges
  • Less than 24 hours before pickup: Deposit forfeited; no additional charges
  • No-show: Deposit forfeited + 50% of remaining balance

Exceptions (no penalty)

  • Flight cancelled or rescheduled by the airline: free date change
  • Demonstrable family emergency: evaluated case by case

The $20 USD booking fee

When you book, we block a driver for your specific time slot, begin monitoring your flight, and decline other booking requests for that slot. The $20 booking fee covers these operational costs and is non-refundable under all circumstances.

8. Service guarantees

Fixed price guarantee

The price you see in our calculator is the price you pay. No hidden charges. If your driver attempts to charge any amount beyond the agreed price, report it to us immediately and receive a 50% refund of your transfer fare.

Punctuality guarantee

We monitor your flight automatically and ensure your driver is present when you exit customs. If, after you confirm you have exited the airport, your driver is not there within 10 minutes, you receive a $20 USD credit toward your next transfer.

Vehicle condition guarantee

All vehicles are clean, modern, and have functioning air conditioning. If your vehicle does not meet these standards, send us a photo within 24 hours and receive a 30% credit toward your next transfer.

Total satisfaction

If something goes wrong, we fix it. Contact us within 24 hours of your transfer with any legitimate complaint and we will work toward a fair resolution.

Credits issued as part of our guarantees are valid for 12 months from issuance and are non-transferable. Credits have no cash value and cannot be combined with discount offers.

9. Customer responsibilities

By booking with RET Pickups, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking (name, flight number, arrival time, destination, number of passengers)
  • Notify us of any changes to your flight or arrival information as soon as possible
  • Exit the airport through the designated arrivals area and look for your driver holding a sign with your name
  • Contact your driver directly (via the WhatsApp number provided 48 hours before arrival) if you cannot locate them
  • Behave respectfully toward our drivers and not engage in behavior that could put the safety of the vehicle, driver, or fellow passengers at risk
  • Not transport illegal substances, weapons, or items prohibited by Mexican law
  • Inform us of oversized luggage (sporting equipment, baby strollers, medical equipment) at the time of booking

RET Pickups reserves the right to refuse service without refund if a passenger's behavior poses a safety risk or violates applicable law.

10. Limitations of liability

RET Pickups shall not be held liable for:

  • Delays caused by flight cancellations, diversions, or customs and immigration processing beyond our control
  • Loss of or damage to personal belongings during transport (we strongly recommend travel insurance)
  • Consequential losses resulting from a missed connection, event, or appointment due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including extreme weather, road closures, accidents involving third parties)
  • Service disruptions caused by acts of God, government restrictions, pandemics, or other force majeure events

Our maximum liability in any case shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the affected service.

All our vehicles carry mandatory insurance coverage as required by Mexican law. In the event of an accident caused by our driver, our insurance coverage applies.

11. Intellectual property

All content on retpickups.com — including text, design, graphics, logos, and code — is the property of R.E.T Pickups and Services SA de CV or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this website without our prior written consent.

12. Artificial intelligence

The retpickups.com website was developed with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools, including Anthropic's Claude AI assistant. AI was used for design, copywriting, and development assistance only.

In future phases of our service, we may implement AI-powered customer communication tools (chatbot, automated responses). When implemented, such systems will be clearly disclosed to users, will not make binding decisions without human review, and will comply with applicable consumer protection laws in Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

No customer personal data is or was shared with AI providers during website development.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, specifically those applicable in the state of Quintana Roo.

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Cancún, Quintana Roo, México, with the parties waiving any other jurisdiction to which they may be entitled by reason of present or future domicile.

For users in the United States and Canada, nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

For material changes, we will post a notice on our website homepage for a minimum of 30 days before the new terms take effect.
